What they discovered on his remote farm in rural Wisconsin was the stuff of nightmares, and would go on to inspire many modern horror movies, including Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Silence of the Lambs. But the true story of Ed Gein, is so much worse.

The witch trials that went on throughout the Middle Ages are quite well known today. What is less well known is that while these were going on, tens of thousands of people were also being tried and convicted for the crime of being werewolves.
