Ep. 168 – The Silver Star

November 29, 2021

Throughout the history of the old west, there are few lawmen with as interesting a story as that of Bass Reeves. He was a former slave who became known far and wide as perhaps the most prolific law enforcement officer in history. Some stories claim he arrested more than 3,000 criminals in his career, and shot and killed as many as fourteen men. He’s also widely believed to be the inspiration for the one of the most famous fictional cowboys ever, the Lone Ranger.
