Long before the Zodiac Killer terrorized southern California, there was another similar string of murders in which a bizarre killer stalked and murdered people at local lover’s lanes then sent taunting, coded messages to the police and newspapers. Although the 3X killer is almost forgotten today, during the 1930s, the unknown man terrorized the entire city of New York, and launched one of the largest criminal manhunts in the city’s history.
